View Post"I declare, after all, there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book!" Yesterday in the library, we celebrated Jane Austen's 250th birthday! There was colouring and competitions but also, we had three of our very talented KS3 students come into KS2 lunch and give them a hands-on Regency experience. Students could learn how to crochet and do needlework just as Austen would have done We learnt all about her stories, her characters and the world she lived in. We heard regency music and looked into the clothes, fashion and food of regency days. Fun times! #gosforthjuniorhighacademy #gosforthgroup #creatingfutures #janeausten250 #Readingforfun
